On a Thursday of every month, you will find a group of SVUMC women in fellowship–eating, laughing, visiting, praying, sometimes singing, and learning. These are the Ruth Circle women– the only women’s circle of Sierra Vista United Methodist Church that meets in the evenings. Meeting in the evenings is exactly why Ruth Circle was started– to accommodate working women who wanted to fellowship and serve United Methodist Women.
Ruth Circle at SVUMC was started over twenty years ago by Theresa Whitehead. She wanted a United Methodist Women Group for working women, like the one her mother belonged to when she was growing up. So, Theresa picked a Thursday evening and invited a group of women to her house. Some of those earliest attendees were Jeanette Davis, Manijeh Watson, and AeSun Robles, who all still belong to Ruth Circle.
Ruth Circle typically meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 P.M usually in a member’s home. Our programs have been very diverse
Each year we have a:

We also like to read and participate in the UMW reading program.
The women of Ruth Circle are a welcoming group and a fun group that cares deeply for each other.
We are always looking for more SVUMC women to join us. Please note– you do not need to be a working woman to attend Ruth Circle.
Any woman that would like to attend, please call Annie Coppola at 520-678-5647
