Janet E. (Drew) McDonald passed away May 16, 2018, and is now with the Lord and with her family that passed before her. She is survived by her husband and long-time companion Randy L. Buzzell, her sister Sharon K. (Drew) Buehler of San Diego CA, her brother Larry A. Drew and his wife Toby Ann of Rathdrum ID, and her brother Gordon E. Dre w and his wife Leila of Long Beach CA. Janet had no children but also is survived by nine nieces and nephews, grand nieces and neph-ews, numerous cousins and an abundance of friends.
Janet was born in Chillicothe OH on May 15, 1948, and moved with her family to Sierra Vista in 1961. She was graduated from Buena High School in Sierra Vista, and subsequently attended Northern Arizona University where she was awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Science (mathematics) and Master of Science (mathematics). She initially worked for the Department of Defense (Navy Electronics Lab) in San Diego followed by employment at Fort Huachuca working for Electronic Proving Ground and later Program Manager for Instrumentation, Targets and Threat Simulators (US Army).
Janet was active in the Sierra Vista United Methodist church where she sang in the choir. One of her most enjoyable hobbies was working in her flower gardens around the house and tending to the needs of her pets. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting family and friends. She enjoyed mentoring friends and families with life and education. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, E. Avis (Voss) Drew and Robert G. Drew, and her first husband Roger E. McDonald.
A ceremony of Life in Honor of Janet McDonald will be presented at the Methodist Church on 16 June, 11AM-12Noon, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Flowers can be sent to the Methodist Church prior to the 16 June ceremony.
